FM&NT-NIBS 2024, will be held at Physicum and at the V-Spa conference centre in Tartu, Estonia in October, 6 – 9, 2024.

The “FM&NT-2024” belongs to the yearly conference series started by the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia . According to the discussion taken place at the FM&NT-2012, in 2013 the conference was organized by Institute of Physics, University of Tartu and thereafter it will take place in Tartu in every third year. One year in Riga, one year in Tartu and one year in Vilnius. In 2017 the conference was second time in Tartu, organized by the Estonian Physics Society and University of Tartu . In year 2024 is the third time the conference will be held in Tartu, Estonia.

The NIBS conference will be first time in Tartu. But we enjoyed very much these conferences together in Riga in year 2022 and therefore want to have them together also this year. This time the conference will be organized by the Estonian Physics Society and University of Tartu .

The scope of conference covers experimental and theoretical research on functional materials, nanotechnology, optical materials, novel characterisation methods, low dimensional systems and green and sustainable energy technologies and environment, bioengineering materials, biotechnologies and health, and yet more. FM&NT-NIBS 2024 provides an ideal academic platform for researchers to present their latest research findings and describe emerging technologies and directions in Functional Materials, Nanotechnologies, and Innovation issues.

The conference aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Functional Materials, Nanotechnologies, and Innovation. It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for materials scientists, physicists, chemists, research staff, engineers, as well as experts in a wide range of the most demanding application areas, and students from universities, research institutes and related industrial companies to present their latest research results, ideas, developments, and applications in all areas of FM&NT-NIBS 2024. The joint event will also provide a platform for future collaboration promoting interdisciplinary research.

The first deadline for submitting abstracts was June 15, 2024. The program committee will let you know about abstract acceptance by the end of June.
The deadline for submitting late-abstracts is July 15, 2024.
Abstracts should be submitted on the conference web site http://www.fmnt.ut.ee/abstract-upload/.
