The research competentce of our institute is open for the cooperation with enterpreneurs for the development of new high-tech solutions. The existing research infrastructure enables cutting-edge research and development with the use of variety of experimental and theoretical methods.

Estonian Research Infrastructures Roadmap

The strength of the Institute of Physics is its connection with several of the following Estonian and international research infrastructures. These are laboratories, experimental equipment, know-how, methods, materials, activities and services for the creation, application and exchange of new knowledge in research and development.

International projects

Institute of Physics is participating in various international projects dedicated to the cooperation with entrepreneurs.

Commercial Analytical Research Organisations Transnational Strategy (CAROTS)

CAROTS aims to establish a new type of private or public-private company in the Baltic Sea region: Commercial Analytical Research Organisations (CARO). CAROs, as intermediary bodies between industry and academia, provide enterprises with much quicker yet complete assistance in analytical research in the fields of e.g. new materials, nanotech and life sciences.

Power Electronics for Green Energy Efficiency

Institute of Physics, University of Tartu participated in Baltic Sea region cooperation program Green Power Electroncs.

We offer, also after the official end of the project, consulting service to SMEs about cost-effectiveness of solar energetics and taking advantage of the new generation (WBG-materials based) green power electronics solutions.
