Elections of Council Members of the Institute of Physics

In accordance with clause 7 of the Statutes of the Institute of Physics I hereby call the elections of staff representatives for the Council of the Institute as follows:
1. The elections of staff representatives for the Council of the Institute will be organised as e-elections. The voting period will start on May 25, 2021 at 00:00 and end on May 26, 2021 at 23:59. Ten representatives of employees will be elected to the Council.
2. The elections will be carried out only in the electronic environment and according to the Guidelines for Online Voting (Annex 1).
3. In order to set up a candidate, a written motion with the candidate’s written consent must be submitted to Liivia Sildos, by May 15, 2021 at the latest.
4. I hereby establish the Election Committee which consists of the following members: research fellow Taivo Jõgiaas, legal counsel Anne Luik-Ristikivi, associate professor Artjom Vargunin.
5. The list of voters as of April 30, 2021.
6. Voters have the right to submit a written protest on any breach of the election procedure within two working days after voting. The Election Committee reviews a protest within two working days after its submission, makes a motivated decision and announces it to the voters. In the case of a material breach of the election procedure, the Election Committee will organise a repeat vote.
7. Any issues related to the election procedure that are not regulated by this directive will be decided by the Election Committee.
8. The election result will be ascertained and announced on May 31, 2021 as the latest.
9. The powers of the elected Council members will last for the period from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024.
