Tiina Kraav's graphic art exhibition "Derivative of a Softer Order" will be on view at the Physicum Gallery (W, Ostwaldi 1, Tartu) from 1 April to 5 May 2026. The exhibition opens on 1. April at 17, and can be viewed on weekdays from 9 am to 18.
Diana Põdra's painting exhibition "Running Towards the Storm" opens at the Physicum Gallery (W. Ostwaldi 1, Tartu) on Wednesday, May 6th at 5:30 PM. The exhibition is open on weekdays from 9 AM to 7 PM and will remain open until August 30, 2026.
Diana Põder (b. 2006) is a young Estonian artist whose work has moved on the border between art and science. Balancing both, discovering where these two worlds complement each other and where one reaches where the other does not. Atmospheric phenomena have fascinated her since childhood. As a digital storm tracker, she has been observing hurricanes and tornadoes on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean for years. This exhibition is the result of this love. The exhibition features paintings of extreme weather phenomena and atmospheric forces. Works that are the result of thorough preliminary work in meteorology. The works do not only illustrate weather science. They are part of an artistic study, an approach where art and science work together as one method. Science measures and explains. Art reaches where measurement does not reach - into feeling, meaning, the question "why?". What does it mean to observe a force that cannot be controlled? How does the atmosphere, that one element that unites everyone, reflect our shared human experience?
